Day 01: NJP/IXB to Gangtok
Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/ Bagdogra Airport(IXB) & transfer to Gangtok. The drive is about 4hrs depending on the road conditions passing through some very scenic roads along the river Teesta. Later, enjoy the beauty of MG MARG, no Traffic quaint road at the middle of Gangtok.
Day 02: Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir
Excursion to Tsomgo lake aka Changu lake & Baba Mandir. The lake is oval shaped nearly 50 ft deep, generally covered in snow for most of the year. The Sikkimese believe this lake to be a Jhakris, meaning it holds significance as a healing place. Nearby is the sacred Baba Harbhajan Mandir known to be very holy site for all. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay at gangtok. Note: You can also visit Nathula Pass on the same day at an additional cost (closed on Mondays)
Day 03: Transfer to Darjeeling
After breakfast, start your journey for Darjeeling. The drive may not be very smooth but on the journey, you will come across gorgeous green gardens, rivers, quaint villages and old bridges. Enjoy the world heritage Tot Train. In the evening, you can go for a stroll on the Mall Road. Stay overnight at the hotel
Day 04: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Begin the journey early morning (around 4 am) and drive to the famous Tiger Hill (2590 m) to treat your senses with mind-blowing views of the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. Other attractions which will be covered are Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop, Ropeway, Darjeeling Zoo(HMI, Museum), Tenzin Rock, Chitrey Tea Garden, Refugee Camp, Peace Pagoda etc. Evening free to roam around any of the hundred nurseries or the local market area. Day 05: Transfer to NJP/ IXB via Mirik
The drive is through scenic roads with occasional stoppage for photography. Head towards Tingling Viewpoint next from where a great panorama of the luxuriant tea gardens in the mountain slopes, entire Mirik and a breathtaking sunrise can be enjoyed. Activity like Horse riding & Boating in the lake is also in the card for guest. Drive to NJP/ IXB- Forwarding Journey with memories to cherish for long!
